Trailer: Queen & Slim
Universal Pictures has released a brand new first look at Queen & Slim, the upcoming drama-thriller from Emmy-winning writer Lena Waithe and director Melina Matsoukas. The trailer which you can watch below stars Oscar-nominated actor Daniel Kaluuya and newcomer Jodie Turner-Smith.
George Clooney to Direct and Star in Sci-Fi Thriller for Netflix

Oscar-winner George Clooney has teamed up with the streaming giant Netflix for an adaptation of “Good Morning, Midnight”, a sci-fi thriller novel written by Lily Brooks-Dalton. The novel follows a scientist in the Arctic, as he races to make contact with the crew of a spacecraft as they try to return home to Earth.
Clooney will direct and star in the pic which is scheduled to begin production in October.
Casting News: Annette Bening in Talks for Death on the Nile

Acting veteran Annette Bening is negotiating to join Kenneth Branagh’s Death on the Nile. The film follows on from Branagh’s Murder on the Orient Express, and boasts a star-studded cast comprised so far of: Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Armie Hammer (Call Me by Your Name), Tom Bateman (Murder on the Orient Express), Letitia Wright (Black Panther), and Kenneth Branagh (Dunkirk).
Behind the Scenes on Bond 25

Universal Pictures has released a fresh new BTS look at the highly anticipated 25th installment in the James Bond series. The video shows Director Cary Fukunaga hard at work in Jamaica with the cast and crew of the film (that of which includes Daniel Craig, Jeffrey Wright and Lashana Lynch!). The currently untitled film is on track to meet it’s release date of April 3, 2020 for the UK, and April 8, 2020 for the US. Take a look at the BTS footage below:
Ryan Murphy & Netlflix Team Up for The Prom

Netflix and Ryan Murphy have teamed up for a feature-length adaptation of the Tony-nominated stage musical “The Prom”. Murphy’s influence in the industry seems to be enormous, as he’s managed to pull a large group of A-list talent together for the musical flick. Meryl Streep, James Corden, Nicole Kidman, Ariana Grande, Awkwafina, Keegan-Michael Key, and Andrew Rannells are all on-board for the project.
DEADLINE reports that Murphy will begin directing the film later this year, with the hopes of getting it out for a fall 2020 awards season release in theaters before landing on the streaming service.
Casting News: Diana Rigg & Terence Stamp Join Last Night in Soho


Edgar Wright rounds out his cast for upcoming psychological-horror flick Last Night in Soho by enlisting Diana Rigg and Terence Stamp. They join Anya Taylor-Joy, Matt Smith, Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie, Rita Tushingham, Michael Ajao, and Synnøve Karlsen. Shooting is currently underway on the project with the film expected to be released sometime next year.
Trailer: Charlie’s Angels
Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for Elizabeth Banks’ upcoming reboot of Charlie’s Angels. The action flick stars Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska as the titular leads, with Elizabeth Banks, Patrick Stewart, Djimon Hounsou, Sam Claflin, and Noah Centino also appearing in the film. Casting News: Paul Rudd Joins Ghostbusters 2020

Paul Rudd has joined the cast of Sony’s latest Ghostbusters film, now titled Ghostbusters 2020. Other cast members include Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace, with Carrie Coon in talks to join the project. Oscar-nominee Jason Reitman (Tully) is in the director’s seat. Mary J. Blige Signs First-Look Deal with Lionsgate

Eight-time Grammy winner and Oscar-nominee Mary J. Blige has signed a first-look deal with Lionsgate’s TV division, allowing her to develop and produce content for the studio under her newly formed Blue Butterfly Productions banner.
The singer/songwriter turned-actress has recently begun focusing on building up her acting portfolio, first with her “breakout” role in Dee Rees’ Oscar-nominated Mudbound, and secondly as Cha-Cha in Netflix’s hit comic-book show The Umbrella Academy. Blige can be seen next in Scream: Resurrection on VH1, and then on the big screen for Trolls World Tour.
Casting News: Henry Cavill Joins Millie Bobbie Brown for Enola Holmes

Henry Cavill has joined the cast of Legendary’s Enola Holmes as Sherlock Holmes. He joins Millie Bobbie Brown who plays the titular lead, and Helena Bonham Carter who plays the mother of Enola Holmes. BAFTA-winning director Harry Bradbeer who directed the hit-British series Fleabag, is in the directing chair.
